Parks and Amenities:
The Village of McComb is very fortunate to have one of the best public parks in Hancock County. The Park is located on the east side of the Village on State Route 186.
There are four baseball fields. One batting cage, a newly constructed zero-entry swimming pool with a splash pad and water toys and two water slides, two tennis courts, a basketball court, five shelter houses for public use at no charge. The two reservoirs are located at the park for public fishing and sledding in the winter. Ice fishing is NOT permitted. Boats with electric motors are permitted.
A lighted football field is located at the McComb School campus.
Shady Acres is a very nice nine hole golf course located on the west side of the Village. The course has been improved and the club house has been renovated recently by the new owners. They serve some sandwiches, and alcoholic beverages.
There are four soccer fields located at the east end of the park as well as two located at the McComb Church of Christ for public use.
The Village has installed a one mile walk/fitness trail that winds its way from the front of the park around the base of both reservoirs to the back of the park. new additional bike/walk path have been installed this year. The trail has many wonderful new trees and park benches installed for public use.
An 18-hole Disc Golf course has been installed at the rear of the park to be enjoyed by many.
Recently an outdoor ice rink opened on field 3 located at the back of the park. McComb outdoor ice rink opens to skaters 12-19-2016
